Oficjalna lista startowa wydana przez UCI liczy 144 nazwiska z 63 krajów. Jedynie Wielka Brytania, Belgia, Kolumbia, Hiszpania i Włochy miały prawo wystawić maksymalną liczbę pięciu reprezentantów. Polska znalazła się w następnej puli – czterech kolarzy.
