Szósty dzień ścigania w wyścigu Dookoła Kalifornii to 186 kilometrów z Palmdale do Big Bear Lake. Georges znalazł się w ucieczce, która oderwała się zaraz po starcie. Dzielny Francuz zdołał się oderwać od reszty współtowarzyszy i dodatkowo nie dał złapać się pościgowi! 28-latek przekroczył samotnie linię mety z przewagą 28 sekund nad grupą, z której najlepiej finiszował Peter Sagan. Trzeci był kolejny ze Słowaków – Peter Velits (Omega Pharma – Quick Step).

W klasyfikacji generalnej na prowadzeniu pozostał zwycięzca czasówki – David Zabriskie (Garmin-Barracuda).
