Czwarty, a zarazem ostatni etap Skoda-Tour de Luxembourg liczył 176 kilometrów i prowadził z Mersch do Luxembourg Ville. Główne trudności zaczynały się na końcowych rundach w Luxembourg Ville.
Po kilku nieudanych atakach zawiązała się wreszcie ucieczka w składzie: Sergio Rodríguez (Euskadi Basque Country – Murias), Adrien Petit (Team Total Direct Energie), Delio Fernández (Delko Marseille Provence), Ludovic Robeet (Wallonie-Bruxelles), Sjoerd van Ginneken (Roompot – Charles), Alessandro Tonelli (Bardiani – CSF), Philipp Walsleben (Corendon – Circus) i Colin Joyce (Rally UHC Cycling).
Maksymalna przewaga ucieczki oscylowała wokół czterech minut, ale peleton starał się kontrolować sytuację. Wszystko zjechało się na rundach w Luxembourg Ville, ale nie odpuścił Delio Fernández (Delko Marseille Provence).
Hiszpan cztery kilometry przed metą miał tylko szesnaście sekund przewagi nad kolejną grupą. Fernandez został doścignięty na 300 metrów przed metą! Wymęczający finisz pod górkę wygrał zdecydowanie Jesús Herrada (Cofidis, Solutions Crédits), który tym samym przypieczętował swój triumf w generalce.
Drugi był Jonathan Hivert (Team Total Direct Energie), a trzeci Pit Leyder (Leopard Pro Cycling).
W TOP 20 przyjechał Szymon Rekita (Leopard Pro Cycling) i dzięki temu Polak wywalczył świetne, piąte miejsce w klasyfikacji generalnej wyścigu!
