„Purito” wciągu ostatnich czterech sezonów, trzykrotnie wygrywał końcowy ranking złożony z punktów zdobywanych w najważniejszych wyścigach na świecie. W tym roku uzbierał 607 oczek. Drugi w zestawieniu Chris Froome (Sky Team) zgromadził 587. punktów, a trzeci Alejandro Valverde (Movistar) 540. Najlepszy z Polaków – Rafał Majka, zajął 20. miejsce, a Michał Kwiatkowski (Omega Pharma – Quick Step) 23.
Klasyfikację drużynową dzięki punktom Benata Intxausti oraz Rui Costy za generalkę Tour of Beijing wygrał Movistar. Hiszpanie wyprzedzili Sky Team oraz Katushę.
Klasyfikacja narodów padła łupem Hiszpanów. Polska kosztem Irlandii, a zwłaszcza drugiego w Pekinie Daniela Martina (Garmin-Sharp) spadła z 10. na 11. miejsce.
