Norweg wygrał drugi etap, a nowym liderem został Sondre Holst Enger (Israel Cycling Academy).

Po płaskim rozpoczęciu rywalizacji zawodnicy tym razem musieli się zmierzyć z ciężką i pagórkowatą trasą drugiego etapu. Do pokonania było 146km z Honefoss do Asker, a finisz znajdował się na lekkim wzniesieniu (1.6km ze średnim nachyleniem 4.4%).

 

Po bardzo szybkim początku, przez który dość długo nie oglądaliśmy ucieczki, przed premią górską w Skaret nastąpiło rozluźnienie, co pozwoliło odjechać czterem zawodnikom – Gatis Smukulis (Delko Marseille Provence KTM), Oivind Lukkedahl (Coop), Antoine Warnier (WB Aqua Protect Veranclassic) i Bjorn Tore Hoem (Joker Icopal). Kwartet współpracował, ale punkty zbierał głównie Lukkedahl, który w ten sposób wywalczył koszulkę najlepszego górala.

Ucieczka została złapana 20km przed finiszem, ale to nie oznaczało, że sprinterzy mają otwartą drogę do walki o wygraną. 9km przed „kreską” ruszył Sergio Samitier (Euskadi-Murias), ale peleton był zbyt silny. Na ostatnim kilometrze akcji próbował też zawodnik Bardiani-CSF, ale ponownie skok był nieskuteczny.

W sprincie „na wymęczenie” najlepszy był Edvald Boasson Hagen (Dimension Data). Obchodzący urodziny Norweg wyprzedził swojego rodaka Sondre Holsta Engera (Israel Cycling Academy), który dzięki dwóm drugim miejscom został nowym liderem wyścigu.
