Kristoffer Halvorsen (Team Joker Icopal)był najszybszy na trasie Handzame Classic. Na dziesiątym miejscu finiszował Alan Banaszek (CCC Sprandi Polkowice).
15. edycja belgijskiego Handzame Classic liczyła niespełna 193 kilometry i prowadziła z Bredene do Kortemark. Na trasie było kilka sektorów brukowanych, profil był lekko pagórkowaty, ale ten wyścig od lat upodobali sobie sprinterzy.
Listę startową podpisali kolarze z 22. ekip, a wśród nich była drużyna CCC Sprandi Polkowice w składzie: Alan Banaszek, Jonas Koch, Frantisek Sisr, Jakub Kaczmarek, Adrian Kurek, Kamil Małecki, Michał Paluta oraz Patryk Stosz. Oprócz „Pomarańczowych” polscy kibice mogli kibicować Przemysławowi Kasperkiewiczowi (An Post Chain Reaction) i Szymonowi Rekicie (Leopard Pro Cycling).
W jedną z pierwszych ucieczek zabrał się Patryk Stosz (CCC Sprandi Polkowice), ale została ona złapana już w połowie dystansu. W kolejną akcję ponownie zabrał się kolarz „Pomarańczowych”. Tym razem był to Jonas Koch. Wraz z Niemcem z przodu kręcili: Timothy Stevens (Pauwels sauzen – Vastgoedservice Continental Team), Mads Würtz Schmidt (Katusha – Alpecin), Lukas Pöstlberger (Bora – Hansgrohe), Iljo Keisse (Quick-Step Floors) i Alex Kirsch (WB Veranclassic Aqua Protect).
Odjazd był mocny, ale peleton zgodnie z oczekiwaniami okazał się mocniejszy i 37 kilometrów przed metą wyścig rozpoczął się od nowa. Mimo jeszcze kilku ataków o zwycięstwie zadecydował finisz z peletonu.
Najszybszy na kresce okazał się mistrz świata orlików Kristoffer Halvorsen (Team Joker Icopal)! Drugi był Adam Blythe (Aqua Blue Sport), a trzeci Kenny Dehaes (Wanty – Groupe Gobert).
Po raz kolejny bardzo dobrze spisał się Alan Banaszek (CCC Sprandi Polkowice), który zajął 10. miejsce.
