Team Hurom with headquarters in Rybnik is managed by Marcin Pec and Andrzej Sypytkowski.
Team Hurom project is a result of cooperation between Marcin Pec, the official distributor of Hurom brand in Poland, and Andrzej Sypytkowski, the runner-up in Soeul Olympics and World Championships in Chambery. In the middle of 2016, when Hurom company became involved in founding De Rosa Rybnik Team, Pec and Sypytkowski started to cooperate. After a few months of working together they realised it was time to create a professional cycling team with the UCI licence.
At present the team is made up of seven riders: Wojciech Franczak, Mikołaj Gutek, Eryk Latoń, Wojciech Migdał, Emanuel Piaskowy, Konrad Tomasiak and Bartosz Warchoł. Its roster hasn’t been completed yet, though. Marcin Pec was named the team manager, while Andrzej Sypytkowski, supported by Mirosław Kostro, will take up a role of sports director.
”Hurom has been supporting sportsmen and sports events for a few years, especially cycling, because it`s my favourite discipline,” Marcin Pec says. A few months ago I started to cooperate with Andrzej Sypytkowski and his De Rosa Rybnik Team. Shortly afterwards we got the idea to create professional cycling team with Hurom as the main sponsor. Hurom is a Korean leader in the production of slow juicers.
We are going to race in Poland and in other countries as well. We are sure that we will be able to take part in the most prestigeous races in Poland, but we would like to compete on the roads of Italy and in France as well, Pec adds. Now we are finalizing our rooster for 2017 and contracts with our partners. We hope we will refresh Polish cycling a little bit.”
